This engraving demonstrates the fusion of human places and wildlife. It is one of my artistic ways to show the problem of habitat loss for the many species in the world, caused by deforestation and human expansion. The composition is set in my city of origin, Bolzano. The tiger swims in the Talvera river and behind it you can see the “Museion”, the museum of contemporary art in the city, with the black silhouette of the bridge.
I completed this work during my Master in Fine Arts at the Academy of Venice, during which I deepened the technique of etching and aquatint, used to engrave this work. This copy for sale belongs to a very limited edition.
