This engraving demonstrates the fusion of human places and wildlife. It is one of my artistic ways to show the problem of habitat loss for the many species in the world, caused by deforestation and human expansion. The composition is set in my city of origin, Bolzano, in one of my favorite streets. The lion was relaxing on an arch in the alley, when probably someone disturbed him, and in response the lion roars at us!

I completed this work during my Master in Fine Arts at the Academy of Venice, during which I deepened the technique of etching and aquatint, used to engrave this work. This copy for sale belongs to a very limited edition.
