This etching shows the fusion of human places and wildlife. It is one of my artistic expressions to highlight the problem of habitat loss for many species in the world. Unfortunately, many species are losing much of their original habitat due to land use, urbanization and climate change. This painting highlights the issue of coexistence between humans and other animals.
The composition is depicted in Bolzano, my hometown. The title of this work particularly highlights another subject – elephant tusks. Ivory, also called “white gold”, is the precious material of tusks traded by poachers. Unfortunately, this species is threatened with extinction mainly for this reason.
