This engraving demonstrates the fusion of human lifestyle and wildlife. It is one of my artistic ways to show the problem of habitat loss for the many species in the world, caused by deforestation and human expansion. But not only that, the work highlights the widespread tendency to own wild animals as pets.
I completed this work during my academic studies in Venice, during which I deepened the technique of etching and aquatint, used to engrave this work. This copy for sale is part of a 9-copies print edition. The colourful detail of the cocktail has been inserted by hand on each print.
