Bleeding for the hunted Wolves
58,00 € – 160,00 €
With the art I transmit the importance of the living diversity of creatures on our planet. The boy depicted in this painting offered his blood to me to remember the many wolves that are persecuted by humans. I used the blood by dripping it onto the canvas at the end of the work in progress. My intention in using the blood is to give dramatic emphasis to the painting’s message. Together with the gold leaf it gives sacredness to the artwork. There should be no hierarchy of importance between humans and animals. The blood of the boy symbolizes that of the animal.
Even fairy tales associate the wolf with a bad figure that must be defeated. Instead the wolf is a complex and intelligent animal. Evolving into a dog, it became our best friend. This fascinating animal is fundamental for the ecosystem in which it lives: healthy forests need wolves.
I made this double-portrait on commission. In fact, I am available to paint similar artworks on order. You can have your portrait together with your favorite animal. Wild animals must be respected and observed at a safe distance in nature. In a painting at home, however, you can see them as many times as you want. Contact me to start the work.
(No animal is forced to pose or is disturbed to make these works of art).
