The indescribable beauty of places around the world kept in my heart and mind. This piece, in particular, is an intrinsic capture of a bunch of Ibis heading off the white shores of Fowler’s Bay, Southern Australia.
The birds are elegant 24-carat gold leaf silhouettes that stand out against an ultramarine blue sky, a colour that I love to use and that reminds me of the skies of Australia.
A high wave stands out towards the viewer, the perspective of the landscape is not realistic, but surreal. Between the sky and the sea the high white sand dunes of Fowler’s Bay beach.
The original oil painting is no longer available, but I am willing to paint similar art pieces on commission. Please send me your request on the Contact page.
