The ‘Big Red Bird’ Anthurium is a type of Pachyneurium. The ‘Birds Nest Anthuriums’ grow in a rosette pattern and the emerging leaves roll inward towards the central leaf. When in bright light, the central leaf vein is red, like its leaves.

Prefers low to bright indirect light. The plant is unable to withstand direct light and it can hurt your flowers.

Prefers dry soil. Allow the soil to dry out before watering again.

Anthuriums do not need to be heavily fertilized, and do not need a powerful fertilizer. It’s recommended to use a one quarter strength fertilizer once every 3 to 4 months, except during the colder months. Use a fertilizer with higher phosphorus number in order to get stunning flowers.
